The School Nutrition Association of Virginia is proud to honor the dedication, innovation, and excellence of our members through awards and recognitions. Applying is more than an opportunity to celebrate your achievements—it’s a way to share your success and inspire peers. These programs highlight the impact school nutrition professionals make every day in Virginia’s schools and communities.
All awards applications are due January 25th.
SNA National Awards
SNA- VA State Awards & Recognition
This award is presented to potential new leaders of the association to attend the SNA National Leadership Conference to develop and explore leadership skills.
This award is presented to a school, district, or office whose current regular food service personnel are ALL certified through SNA.
This award is presented to a school, district, or office whose regular food service personnel are ALL SNA members (as of December 31st).
This award is presented to the two chapters that experienced the most growth in percentage and by total number within the last year.
This award is presented to a supervisory-level individual (not director) who demonstrates leadership in the field in one or more areas that may include marketing, nutrition education, finance, human resources.
This award is to be presented to someone outside of the school nutrition program who has done extraordinary work on behalf of school nutrition.
This award is for any SNA-VA Member of 25 or more years who is living or deceased and displays exceptional achievements in the area of child nutrition issues in schools, community, state, nationally and/or legislation.
This award is presented to a school that has done an exceptional job in promoting their child nutrition program by use of a theme day or promotion. The program must be completed between January 15 of the previous year and January 15 of the current school year.
This award is presented to a school that has done an exceptional job in promoting their child nutrition program through the use of a wellness program or activity completed between January 15 of the previous year and January 15 of the current school year.
This award is presented to members for their “Years of Service” in school nutrition (begins with 20 years and given in 5 year increments).
